1. How do I register?

After you purchase the webseminar on the website there is one more step which is to register to the webex platform. When you purchase the webseminar you will see a thank you page with instructions on how to register and also you will receive an email with the instructions.

Basically in the instructions you will be give a url which you can follow and register for the Webex platform. Once the host approves your request, you will receive a confirmation email with the specific instructions for joining the meeting.

2. System Requirements?

Minimum requirements to host or attend fully interactive meetings using Meeting Center for Windows:
• Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000 SP4, XP SP2, 2003 R2, or Vista
• Intel x86 (Pentium 400MHZ +) or compatible processo
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Firefox 1.5 or higher, Mozilla 1.7 or higher, , or Netscape 8.1 or higher
• JavaScript and cookies must be enabled
• Recommend ActiveX be enabled for Intenet Explorer
• 56K or faster Internet connection

Minimum requirements to host or attend fully interactive meetings using Meeting Center for Mac OS:
• Mac OS 10.3 or 10.4 (Intel or PowerPC processor)
• Safari 2.0 (Mac OS 10.4)
• Safari 1.3 (Mac OS 10.3)
• Firefox 1.5 or higher (2.0 or higher recommended)
• JavaScript and cookies need to be enabled
• Requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 or higher
• 56K or faster Internet connection

3. Do I need to install anything?

Webex automatically downloads, installs, and configures Meeting Manager the first time you start or join a meeting. However, some systems restrict this automated setup, so you may need to download and run the Meeting Manager Installer before starting or joining a meeting. Select this option if your organization restricts you from installing software on your computer. Download Meeting Manager

4. How I test my system?

You can test your browser by joining a test meeting. Click here to join a test meeting.

5. How to join the meeting?

Once you register at the Webex site you will receive an email invitation with the details about the meeting.
1. Click the link in the message to join the meeting.
2. On the Meeting Information page that appears, click Join Now.
3. Once you join the meeting on the left hand side of the screen you will see a headset icon with the text underneath “Voice Conference” click on the icon and your speakers and microphone will be connected automatically and you will see a green text “connected” with a check mark next to it.

6. What if my audio is not working during the meeting?

We highly recommend that you test your audio microphone and speakers prior to the meeting. There are two ways to do that:

1. Login 30min prior to the meeting using the meeting url and the host of the meeting will help you test if your microphone is working
2. If you would like to do the testing earlier please call directly Webex 1 866 229 3239 or for International callers 1 408 435 7088, they have an amazing customer service.

If you have trouble with the audio during the meeting unfortunately the host can’t help you troubleshoot the issue while the meeting is in progress you have to call webex directly at 1 866 229 3239 and they will work with you individually on fixing the issue

7. During the meeting how do I participate?

During the meeting all the lines will be muted to prevent noise and audio interference. Anytime you wish to speak or ask a question click on the little hand icon to the right of you name in the participants panel (the list of all participants names). The presenter will let you know when you can speak and the host will unmute your line.

8. Recordings of the webseminars?

After the meeting within 24hrs you will receive an email with the url to the recording of the meeting. Unfortunately at this time we do not offer a download option but we hope to do so in the near future.

9. Can I connect using Linux

WebEx will support any Linux distribution as long as it meets the following requirements:
* Kernel: 2.6 or later
* X Lib: X11R6 or later compatible
* C++ Lib: libstdc++ 6
* Desktop Environment: XFce 4.0 or later, KDE, Ximian, Gnome
* GDK/GTK+ version: 2.0 or later
* Glib: 2.0 or later
* Sun Java 1.5 or later

10. I took notes on the webex page during the meeting how can I retrieve them now?


Unfortunately, it's not possible to retrieve the notes for the meeting if the meeting was closed. There's not much we can do about this issue. However, to avoid this issue in future please have the user to save the notes by click on File >>> Save >>> Notes on the meeting window.
